About this activity

We meet at the Cascade Steps in the center of Bristol and follow straight up Park Street where we can find and photograph Banksy famous graffiti of the Lover hanging from the windowsill.
We continue exploring several areas of the city which is a brilliant hub for street art with lots of great pieces appearing at a daily rate.
There is never a dull day when you set yourself to hunt for new reasons to tread the streets looking for new examples of street art interventions. Known by being the home city of Banksy, Massive Attack, Tricky, Portishead, Bristol is a relaxed city with a urban mesh that is a playground for photographers and enthusiasts of visual storytelling.
I will take you around and help you to discover and master photographic techniques and share with you visual storytelling skills that can easily be applied to your photography.

About your host
I was born in 1976 in Angola, but had to flee with my family soon after amidst rising tensions and civil war. My childhood was spent dreaming about travelling and discovering long lost ancient civilisations, a passion that evolved into taking photographs of everything surrounding me - and trying to portray the issues that humanity faces within modern societies. While I work commercially mainly in the areas of arts & heritage, music and corporate photography, my personal work explores concepts relating to changing landscape, global environment and the human condition. I am especially drawn to the ever-mutating landscape, be it man-made or natural and the jarring juxtaposition of countryside and urban environments…
