About this activity
We'll visit New York's oldest, deepest, smallest, highest and "only" sites and sights on this photo excursion. On this photo walk you will learn historic tidbits and pop culture while capturing some quintessential New York City photos and shots of lesser known areas from different vantage points and hidden-in-plain-sight gems.
This photography excursion is perfect for your portraits, architecture, macro photography and street photography.
Each location was chosen for its picturesque & superlative nature. Photographers of all levels are welcome on this excursion. Travel photographers and hobbyists will have ample opportunities to capture scenic NY skylines, classic architecture, macro photography, nature and street art.
Sometimes to get "the shot" you have to trek a bit, so be prepared for that. I recommend wearing sneakers (trainers, tennis shoes) and not ballet flats or sandals. We'll do a lot of walking -- in parks, climb stairs & navigate cobblestones and steep hills during the excursion (Manhattan is quite hilly, believe it or not!).
Although we will have an itinerary, there's no telling what memorable people or happenings we'll stumble upon along the way, so be open to going "off book"! ****Each photo walk starts at a different time. After booking, you will be contacted with the correct start time and meeting point.****
The photo walk is a fun way to discover this city so rich in details.
You will also benefit from my advice: will not hesitate to share with you my knowledge and tips for taking professional photos.
Photography features: Time Out New York, The Huffington Post, on a Times Square billboard & The Museum of the City of New York. Find me under 'Abigail Ekue Photography'.
Tidbits: I'm a chocolate snob who enjoys dollar pizza, mango-flavored anything and I'm rarely disoriented when I ascend from the subway. I'm curious about other cultures. I love to be active; I'm not afraid to sweat and I'm not afraid of the cold.
