This 3.5h course was built for people wishing to learn street photography, through its history, its great figures, but especially through accompanied practice.

About your Mentor
Professional photographer from Montreal, Quebec. François was selected and invited 5 times (2013-2014-2015-2016-2017) at the « World Photographers focusing on Beijing ». He work in Turkey for the project « Izmir, a legacy for tomorrow » organized by the Arkas Art Center and his photos were exposed at the Arkas Museum. He also participated at Izmir photo days. In 2014, he won first prize at the international photo contest « 2014 Chinese dream in the Eyes of Foreign Friends ».

His book « China: photographic narrative in the Middle Kingdom » is published with Les Editions Cayennes

His photos were published in National Geographic, Inspired Eye magazine and in numerous magazines and websites. He likes to travel and always looking for new challenges. He now lives and teaches in Beijing. China.

STREET PHOTOGRAPHY This legendary genre, almost art in its own right, excites your curiosity and you are eager to learn more about its history and practice? You like, or would like, to capture the moment, the human, the anecdote, but your inhibitions put obstacles in your way? Then be sure this class is for you! This 3.5 h class was designed for people wishing to learn street photography, through its history, its great figures, but especially through accompanied practice. The curriculum will be developed in three parts, each necessary to begin effectively in this photographic art: First comes the time of inspiration; by discovering the history of Street Photography, and the great photographers who made it, you will have a glimpse at the diversity of approaches and aesthetics of this genre. Before starting shooting, technical tips and tricks will be given, exclusively designed to optimize your technical management in the context of the street, and for a photograph "on the fly". Finally, will come the time of practice - the heart of this class. Thanks to precise exercises, with very clear objectives, your trainer will teach you methods of discreet approaches, and various tips of compositions to succeed your street photographs. At the end of the class, you will approach this practice in a more serene way, and with the necessary inspiration to flourish on this immense playground that is the street! Technical prerequisites for this class: having attended our beginner classes (#1, #2, #3 & #4) or having been initiated to the photographic technique by another means.
